What is included

We prepare your personal income tax return (the T1) from the documents you give us. We check your slips and receipts for every deduction and credit you can claim. We go through the finished return with you. Then we file it with the CRA. You get a copy for your records.

If you have questions after filing, you can call us.

How it works

  1. Call or request a callback. We confirm what you need to bring based on your situation.
  2. Bring your documents to our Surrey office. We go through them with you and ask about anything that might affect your return.
  3. We prepare and file. You review the return, we file it with the CRA, and you keep a copy.

If you work for yourself

Sole proprietors, contractors and gig workers report business income on the personal return, not on a separate corporate return. Bring a summary of what you earned and what you spent, and details of any vehicle or home office use. If your business is incorporated, see our corporate tax page instead.

Fees

Fees depend on how complex the return is. A single T4 is a different job from self-employment income with a home office. We tell you the fee before we start, so there are no surprises.

Where we are

Our office is at Payal Business Centre on 128 Street in Newton, Surrey. Hours and directions are on the contact page.

Common questions

When is the deadline to file my personal tax return?

For most people the deadline is April 30. If you or your spouse work for yourselves, the filing deadline is June 15, but any balance owing is still due April 30. If a deadline falls on a weekend, the CRA generally accepts returns filed the next business day.

Do I need to file if I had little or no income?

Often, yes, and it is usually worth it. The CRA uses your return to decide if you get benefits such as the GST/HST credit and BC benefits. That is true even when there is no tax to pay. We can look at your situation and tell you what applies.

I have not filed for a few years. Can you help?

Yes. We prepare prior-year returns as well. Bring whatever slips and records you have. Where slips are missing, we will explain how to get copies from the CRA.

How long does it take to get a refund?

Once a return is filed electronically, the CRA's published service standard is generally about two weeks for a refund. It can take longer during peak season or if the CRA reviews the return. Direct deposit is the fastest way to receive it.

Can I speak to someone in Punjabi?

Yes. Our team speaks English and Punjabi. Tell us your preferred language when you call or request a callback.

Do I need an appointment?

Calling ahead means we can set aside time for you and tell you exactly what to bring. Use the number at the top of the page or request a callback.
