Privacy

This page explains what information this website collects and what we do with it. It applies to www.rextax.ca. It does not cover the information you give us when you become a client, which is handled under our engagement terms.

Callback form

When you use the callback form, we collect your name and the phone number you want us to call. We also collect your email address if you give it, and your preferred language. We collect the service you are asking about, a preferred time to call if you choose one, and any note you add. We use this only to return your call and answer your enquiry.

Submissions are received and stored by our website host, Netlify, and delivered by email to our office. We keep enquiry details only as long as needed to respond and follow up.

Please do not send your SIN, CRA passwords or security codes, or tax documents through the form. We will explain the approved way to provide documents after we speak.

Monthly tax update (optional)

The callback form has an optional box for a short monthly tax update by email. It is not ticked unless you tick it. If you tick it, we record the wording you agreed to and the date, and we send only that update. Every email has an unsubscribe link. Asking for a callback does not sign you up.

Phone, email and directions links

Tapping a phone, email or directions link opens the relevant app on your device. We do not receive your phone number or location from that action.

Website analytics

If analytics is enabled on this site, we use Google Analytics to count visits. It shows us which pages are used and whether contact buttons are tapped. It does not receive the contents of the callback form, your name or your phone number. You can block analytics with a browser extension or your browser's tracking settings without affecting the site.

Hosting logs

Our host keeps standard server logs, including IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and to keep the site running. These are retained for a limited time by the host.

Cookies

This site does not set cookies for advertising. If analytics is enabled, Google Analytics sets its own cookies to tell visits apart.

Your choices and questions

You can ask us what enquiry details we hold about you, or ask us to delete them. Contact info@rextax.ca or call (604) 834-6565.
